Marco Prete

Marco Prete is PhD student in Sciences in Cultural Heritage and Production at the University of Catania. He is currently a member of the British School at Athens and he is involved in the Galatàs Pediada Excavation and Publication Project. His research interests are focused on the social, political, and economic dynamics in Bronze Age Crete during the Protopalatial and Neopalatial periods, taking as a specific case study the Pediada region in north-central Crete. He is also interested in the issue of Cultural Heritage perception, namely how peripherical local communities engage with the archaeological past around them.
