MICHELA BONATO 

Michela Bonato holds an M.A. in Chinese Studies from Ca’ Foscari University and a PhD in Human Geography from Heidelberg University. She has been a Visiting Research Fellow at Chongqing Southwest University, and currently works as a teaching assistant at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Department of Asian and North African Studies. She is trained in qualitative research methods. Her research interests lie at the intersection of cultural and political geography, language, and social affairs, particularly in the intertwining of urban development in Southwest China, the commons and visual culture.
