Marco Prete

Marco Prete is PhD student in Sciences in Cultural Heritage and Production at the University of Catania. He is currently a member of the British School at Athens and he is involved in the GalatĂ s Pediada Excavation and Publication Project. His research interests are focused on the social, political, and economic dynamics in Bronze Age Crete during the Protopalatial and Neopalatial periods, taking as a specific case study the Pediada region in north-central Crete. He is also interested in the issue of Cultural Heritage perception, namely how peripherical local communities engage with the archaeological past around them.
